Pictures of Ethan at the Toledo Zoo...
The day we went they had an Easter Egg Theme. The animals were all going on Easter Egg hunts! He loves his egg!
Ethan really enjoyed coloring easter eggs. He cried when we were done!
He has loved being outside. Here are some outdoor pics.
He loves his sesame street helmet! ;o)
He is in Dada's JEEP.
Ethan with his friend, Max.
Ethan is just so cute these days! He is doing so many things, that I don't really even know where to begin for an "update." He has a little mind of his own and it is so fun to see the things he comes up with.
Here are some cute things that he has done recently...
- He loves Dakota. He will put her in her cage if we ask him to. He tells her, "Go, Go." When she goes in her cage he shuts it for us and says Bye Bye Wawa (He doesn't really say Dakota - it comes out more like "wawa").
- Dakota has a blanket that is normally in the corner of our family room that she lays on. Today I was cleaning and I put it in her cage. Ethan saw it in there and pulled it out and came running to dakota - "here you go Wawa, here you go wawa!" He tried to put it on her. :)
- Ethan has a picture that he painted of an Elephant on our fridge. He took his teddy bear and brought it up to the fridge to show him the elephant. He said, "See Elepant? Hiiii Elepant!"
- The other morning Ethan was eating his breakfast with his Dada. Dada saw a Robin on our deck and showed it to Ethan. Ethan took his fork and put it towards the bird and made an eating sound. He was pretending to share his breakfast with the birdie. He does this all of the time. He takes his food and pretends to share it with all of his sesame street characters and he shares his drink, too. ;o)
- He knows the number two. When he sees "two" of something he always points it out. "Two balls." "Two bats." "Two elmos." We were looking at a shutterfly book and there were two pictures of James on the same page and Ethan noticed - "TWO Dadas!"
- Ethan is always saying "Where did it go?" "Oh, there it is!" It is so cute how he says this. It is also adorable how he puts his little hands out.
- Ethan is getting pretty good at praying with us before meals and before bed. He knows the routine. He bows his head and peaks his little eyes (he doesn't shut them), and folds his hands together. He is a pro at saying a loud, "AMEN." He loves to talk about Jesus and we read his little bible story book before bed.
- He loves music. For some reason he calls it "Gagak." Don't ask me where that came from. He is asking for music all of the time. We turn it on and he dances and jumps like a wild man. When the song is over he claps like crazy and stops to wait and listen for the next song. He loves worship at church. But, when it is quiet he tends to loudly say, "MORE GAGAK!!!" Then he will put his finger up to his lips and say, "oh shhhhhh."
- He has finally mastered climbing up on the couch himself. When he first did this he was so excited! He shouted, "I DID IT, I DID IT!"
- He loves being outside. Since we have had nice weather we have spent hours outdoors. He will walk forever! I think this boy is going to love to hike. He knows that he likes to go across the street to the little park, so he will say "road, cross? road, cross?"
- He is very enthusiastic about everything. If we ask him if he wants to..."go outside, go in the basement, go see Grandma and Papa, have a cookie (anything the least bit exciting) he squeals and says YES so enthusiastically!
- We went to the zoo yesterday and he had a blast! He loved all of the animals. It was hard to get him away from each exhibit. Between exhibits he would says "more animals, more animals?"
- He is loving being home with his Dada right now (James got laid off). :( They are having so much fun together. However, it makes me feel a little bit sad because Ethan is becoming more attached to James. At night, lately, he is wanting James to put him to bed! It makes me a little sad - but James keeps reminding me that this will go in cycles.
- We have an exercise ball that James and I have been using. Ethan has watched us and now he is doing some crazy things with the basketball. He rolls over it and says, "oh no! oh no!" as he falls over and laughs. Silly guy.
- Ethan loves to do things with BOTH Mommy and Daddy. If Daddy is taking him outside he will say, "Mama, too, Mama, too!?" He wants both of us to be out with him. :) (At least he totally hasn't forgotten about me!) :)
Alright, that is it for now.... ;o)
