I have been involved in a women's bible study this summer where we have been going through a book called, "A Women After God's Own Heart." It has been sooo great! I have learned so much about how to live out God's priorities for my life...however sometimes it can be all a little overwhelming to me...
Us women, are expected to wear so many hats. I tend to think that eventually I will be the women that God will want me to be - but I am realizing that the choices that I make NOW will determine who I become in the future. So, why put off things until a later date? Why wait for the "Golden years." Let's make EACH day a golden DAY! :)
In one of the chapters that we talked about it had this poem. I had to laugh when I read it - it sounds like me! I especially love the line - "I'm not even thin!" LOL - I love it! :)
So much material,
So much to learn,
So much to change,
An overwhelming concern.
"Something is better than nothing,"
We are told.
And, again, wisdom and understanding
Are better than gold.
Where do I begin? I'm not even thin!
I move one step forward - two back,
I find my priorities are all out of whack.
I want to be on the right track.
Pray for me, I need it so,
For I've got a long way to go.
Many things are obvious today,
The answer to this dilemma - PRAY!! :)
