10 months...and our NEW home!

Ethan is 10 months old! He has been so much fun this past month as you can just see his little mind working. He tries to mimic a lot of what we are doing. He sounds like he is trying to say "uh oh" after we say it. He scrunches his eyes shut when we play peek a boo and gets this cute little grin. He just started trying to play patty cake with Grandma. He did it all day two days ago, but now seems to forget.

He is also just started to put his hands up every once in a while when I say, "How big is Ethan?" He is pointing at things and throwing toys all over the place. For some reason, he always looks like he is putting his little hands on his hips. He loves to jump and will laugh like crazy if you hold him and make him "jump jump jump." He can turn on and off light switches and immediately looks up to see if the light is on.  He is now a little Indian when he puts his hand up to his mouth and pats it as he makes noises.

He LOVES monkeys! A few times when he had a bunch of toys in front of him and we asked him where the monkey was he picked it right up. The other day we were in his room playing and he noticed the monkey decal on the wall and kept pointing to it. ;o) It must be all of the silly monkey noises that Daddy always makes.

He still isn't crawling! However, he is slowly making some progress. Just today he was finally getting up on his knees just a little bit and inching backward. He also is bending further and further to get his toys. He has gone from sitting to his belly a few times. I am wondering if he will just skip the crawling stage and go right to walking, or what? Not sure!

Today Grandma and I noticed that his forth tooth is coming in! He now has the two bottom and the two upper "fang" teeth. He will look goofy until his two middle teeth come in! :)

I am wondering if he will be a dentist when he grows up. He is CONSTANTLY trying to get his little hands inside my mouth to inspect my teeth. Sometimes it is cute, but other times when I am trying to get him to sleep I begin to wish he would leave my teeth alone! ;o) Sometimes it hurts as he scrapes his little sharp finger nails against my gums. I am constantly taking his hand out of my mouth.

He enjoys spending time with his cousins. Brody, who is 4 months older than him loves to give Ethan hugs, kisses, bend down and get a close look at him, and pat his head. Ethan smiles for a bit, but then his lower lip will go out when he gets sick of the special treatment. ;) It is pretty darn cute, though.

This month we have been VERY busy since we moved into the new house. Ethan seems to be used to out new home. He LOVES the windows!

Enjoy the pictures from the past month.

Well, this first one obviously isn't from the past month! This was when Ethan was a week old. I thought I would use it to compare to the next picture....

Our little guy has gotten so big!

Here he is sitting on our bench at the new house.
Taken today - for his 10 month photo!
Ethan has so much fun with Grandma. She was making him laugh here.
The three cousins looking at the birds.

The next pictures are of our new home. I have had some people ask to see inside pictures so I thought I would post some before and after pictures. I can't do all of them, because Ethan is sleeping and I don't an after picture of his room. Our room isn't in order for pictures. :) So, I will just post SOME of them.

This is our foyer/staircase BEFORE paint and molding.

These are AFTER

Here is the kitchen before paint

And...AFTER

Here is our family room before we painted over the red...

And after...

Our dining room before paint

And after (we are still waiting for chairs)

I think the paint makes a huge difference! We still have lots to paint, but we are taking a break for now. Our next project will be painting the living room, upstairs hallway, and bathrooms.
